Statement of Faith

We believe in seven fundamentals of Faith reflected in the Apostles Creed and taught in Scripture.

We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (universal) church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

We believe all humanity is created in the image of God, but that His image has been marred and our relationship to God broken by the sinfulness of the entire human race. We believe in God’s plan to redeem humanity through Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice for sin and defeat of death in resurrection power: this is God’s salvation offered freely to all by grace and received through faith. (Genesis 1:26, Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Peter 1:18-20)

I:The unity and equality of GOD as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Trinity): Matthew 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14

II:The Divine Inspiration and authority of Scripture: II Timothy 3:16

III”The Divinity of Christ and His Miracles as Kingdom-signs: John 10:38 & John 14: 9 &11

IV:The Virgin Birth, Substitutionary atonement and Bodily Resurrection of Jesus as LORD and Savior: Matthew 1:18-25; Romans 4:25; Matthew 28:5-10; Acts 1:3; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21

V:The indwelling of the Holy Spirit as Christ’s ongoing presence: John 14:16-18; 16:7-11; Acts 1:4-8

VI:The church as the gathered people of God, in Christ, from every nation: John 10:16; 11:51-52; Acts 1:8

VII:The Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection of the Dead: Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:28-29; John 14:2-3; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Finally, we believe Jesus Christ is the hope of the world and the local church is His chosen instrument to offer this hope to a lost and dying world.
